Rosamund Fowler was born in Edinburgh in 1963. She trained at Edinburgh College of Art and graduated in 1985 with a BA Hons in Illustration and Design.
For over 20 years she has worked as a freelance illustrator, producing illustrations for all areas of the industry, including advertising, corporate design, newspapers, magazines and books. As 'Scotland on Sunday' food page illustrator for 7 years, she was short listed 3 years running in the visual category of the Glenfiddich food media awards. She is represented by Artist Partners Ltd. of London.
Clients include Visa, Vodafone, Standard Life, The Scotsman, Scottish Power, Bank of Scotland, BBC, Scotrail, Sheraton Hotels, BMA, Penguin Books, Oxford University Press, Harper Collins, Egmont Books, Water Aid, NSPCC, National Museums of Scotland, Arran Provisions, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Forestry Commission, Which magazine, Barefoot Books.
In addition to illustration, Rosamund has produced larger scale oil paintings, using multiple glazes of colour which give the painting a rich lustre and luminous quality.In recent years she has specialised in wood engraving and printmaking, and is exhibiting with success in this medium.
Rosamund is married and lives in the South Downs, West Sussex.
